Legal & Platform Rules
How EcoResQ operates
EcoResQ is a digital Resource Rescue Platform connecting Users with Resource Providers.
EcoResQ provides digital infrastructure for resource discovery, reservations, third-party payment processing, fulfilment verification, notifications and impact tracking.
EcoResQ does not own, store or physically fulfil the Resources listed on the platform.
User responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information;
- making reservations responsibly;
- following applicable fulfilment instructions;
- completing fulfilment within the applicable Fulfilment Window;
- complying with applicable laws and platform rules.
A reservation represents a commitment to complete fulfilment within the applicable Fulfilment Window.
Resource Provider responsibilities
Resource Providers are responsible for:
- the Resources they publish;
- the accuracy of listing information;
- available quantity;
- the declared Fulfilment Window;
- fulfilment arrangements and instructions;
- fulfilment confirmation;
- complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements relating to their Resources.
Listing Accuracy & Availability
Resource Providers must keep their Resource Listings accurate and up to date.
If a Resource is sold, transferred, given away, reserved outside EcoResQ, or otherwise becomes unavailable, the Resource Provider must promptly update or deactivate the corresponding listing.
EcoResQ may temporarily hide, remove or restrict listings that appear to be inaccurate, outdated or unavailable.
Users may report Resources that appear to have been sold, transferred, withdrawn or are otherwise no longer available. EcoResQ may temporarily hide a reported listing while its availability is being reviewed.
Resource Providers remain responsible for their Resources and fulfilment.
Reservations & Fulfilment
A reservation is valid during the Fulfilment Window configured by the Resource Provider.
If fulfilment does not occur before the Fulfilment Window ends, the reservation is automatically cancelled.
Priority Access & Notifications
EcoResQ may provide Priority Notifications to Users who have been verified as eligible for Priority Access.
Priority Notifications are intended to make selected Resources more accessible to people who may particularly benefit from affordable or otherwise socially valuable resources. Eligible Users may receive a notification when an eligible Resource is published.
Priority Notifications may apply to:
- Free Resources; and
- selected significantly discounted or otherwise socially valuable Paid Resources.
The specific eligibility criteria and Resource eligibility rules are defined by EcoResQ’s Priority Access policy.
Priority Notification does not delay the public availability of a Resource. A Resource becomes publicly available according to the normal platform rules when it is published and approved for publication. Priority-eligible Users may simply be notified earlier through the designated notification channels.
Priority Access:
- does not create a separate inventory pool;
- does not create a separate reservation state;
- does not guarantee that a Resource will be available when the User attempts to reserve it;
- does not guarantee a reservation or fulfilment;
- does not change the Resource Provider’s Fulfilment Window;
- does not give the User priority in the reservation queue.
Priority eligibility is not publicly displayed to other Users and should not disclose a User’s personal circumstances or eligibility status.
Payments
For Paid Resources, payments are processed through an integrated third-party payment provider.
EcoResQ does not directly hold, custody or settle customer funds.
Lawful & Responsible Use
EcoResQ does not permit the platform to be used for unlawful, fraudulent or otherwise prohibited activities. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- illegal transactions or unlawful Resources;
- drugs and controlled substances;
- stolen or counterfeit goods;
- fraudulent, deceptive or misleading transactions;
- activities that violate applicable laws or regulations;
- attempts to circumvent or abuse platform controls.
EcoResQ may reject, remove or restrict Resources, listings, accounts or transactions that violate applicable law or platform rules.
Users may report suspected illegal or prohibited activity through the available reporting channels.
Support Contributions
Support contributions are voluntary and independent of reservations and purchases.
Supporting a Resource Provider or EcoResQ:
- does not affect reservation eligibility;
- does not affect reservation priority;
- does not affect search ranking;
- does not affect Priority Access eligibility;
- does not guarantee access to Resources.
Supporting EcoResQ never gives you Priority Access or Priority Notifications. Priority Access is based on separately defined eligibility criteria and verification requirements.
